Soccerstrat

The latest addition to the site and a real joy to find a game that has absolutely no web presence or any history that I can find. Dates to the early 1970s I think and endorsed by Bobby Moore.

Update - I now have the second, larger Super Set version of Soccerstrat (now sold) which has a ready made stadium as the box base as well as bespoke keeper figures but no mention of a crowd noise simulator!

Now a third version added - a Standard set with one piece stadium instead of two halves and different box wording.

And a fourth version - the Deluxe set with pre-buiult stadium in two halves as the box base. Missing the crowd roar mechanism too, I'll get one of these eventually!!

One of the games in Soccerstrat was later marketed on its own as Soccermatch.

Soccerstrat Deluxe edition

Great example of the Deluxe edition with pre-built stadium forming the box base.
Creased and dented but good, missing the rules (photocopy included), the second game pitch and the crowd roar mechanism. Also missing a few players - happy to sell players separately if you need any spares.

Soccerstrat Standard set

Patent Pending version with two part stadium. Complete and unused but the box is a bit tattered and creased. Classic figures and grid pitch format. Stadium is in two halves to build yourself.

Standard set with one piece stadium

A different version of the Standard set. The stadium is made from a single piece of card rather than two halves. The contents list is slightly different too. Great condition, replacement floodlights not originals but excellent copies.

Soccerstrat Super Set

The larger Super Set version with the box base a ready made stadium and goalkeeper figures. This set has now gone to its rightful home - the family of the inventor of the game.

Two boxed sets of differing sizes. The smaller Standard set with DIY stadium bits and the much larger Super set with ready made stadium.

The players

The moulds look close to Subbuteo or TAF 4-2-4 figures but on flat bases. No keepers just 11 a side basic figures in the standard set, the Super Set contains goalkeepers.

Fold out grid pitch, haven't yet read how you move the players!

What's inside?

Loads of stuff!!
Two different pitches, huge card stadium sections, rule sheets, two teams of plastic Subbuteo style figures, pitch strengthening panels. Sadly floodlights missing - but don't despair, look to your right!

Crowd roar mechanism

Oh wow, I have the Super (deluxe) edition but it is missing the crowd roar mechanism.

Soccerstrat kick action

Pitch one is for the Kick Action game. You hold the players body and flick the base to make him kick the ball

Soccerstrat draughts

Pitch 2 is for a draughts type game. No ball is used and the aim is to get a player onto the dark green squares in front of the goal. This game was later marketed on its own as Soccermatch.
